This project consists of a series of open air events conducted between the artist and the viewer, in New York State. At each event one pyrotechnic projectile will be launched vertically into the air, exploding at approximately two hundred feet. At the height of detonation the charge will send the contents of the projectile (a liquid) out to create a a small and momentary burst of colour. The plume of colour will be achieved by the atomization of the liquid back into the surrounding air. The liquid in each pyro charge is the viewer's own blood. The blood is still in a living state at the time of explosion, having been frozen from when it was first donated. Visually I am trying to achieve a momentary small flash of red, almost a crude flower in form. I expect it to last around one second before dissipating into the wind.
